"Artistically Creating and Preserving Your Special Memories" |
Frequently Asked Questions Q: How do you create a DVD Slideshow? A: You send us the photos and music - and we do the rest ! We will safely download your digital photos, or scan any physical photos that you provide us, onto one of our state-of-the-art computers. Using sophisticated software, we then orchestrate your photos to the musical background of your choice. The resulting show is then burned onto an archival quality DVD+R disc. The DVD itself comes printed with photos from your show for a professional look, and a custom DVD cover is then created for your finished show to add the finishing touch. Q: How do I play my finished show? A: Just play it like you would any movie DVD. It's as easy as that! Q: Is my DVD player compatible with your DVD+R discs? A: YES, it should be, especially if it was purchased in the last few years. But a good resource to check for your player's compatability is http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers. Q: How do I get my pictures and music to you? A: You may mail any physical photos that you want us to scan for you, or you may either send us a CD or DVD containing the digital photos and/or music for your show. You may also e-mail us any photos or music that you want us to use in your show. Q: Are my pictures safe with you? A: All photos are treated as though they were our very own. No changes of any kind are made to your original photos. All photos are returned to you in the exact same condition in which we received them. Q: Can you obtain the music that I want, instead of me sending my CDs to you? A: Generally, the answer is yes. There would, however, be an additional charge. But we cannot always guarantee that the specific song and artist is available, so it is best that you ask us before you send your photos to make sure that we can obtain the specific music that you want included in your show. Q: How long will it take to receive my slideshow? A: The time to create your show is 5-7 business days from the date that we receive your photos and music. Rush service - 2-3 business days - is available for an additional charge. Q: Will the Widescreen (16:9) format work on a Regular (4:3) TV? And will the Regular format work on a Widescreen TV? A: Yes, they will. The Widescreen format will play on a Standard TV, with small black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. And the Regular format will play on a Widescreen TV, with small black bars on the left and right sides of the screen. And the Widescreen format will take up the entire screen of a widescreen TV, of courses, while the Regular format will take up the entire screen of a standard TV. Q: What if I have other questions? A: Just feel free to contact us at either our e-mail address - SausalitoMemories@comcast.net - or our phone number, which can be found in the "A Little Bit About Us" section of our website. There is no obligation to you, of course, and we are happy to help you with any questions or concerns that you may have. |
